Royal Albert…

Okay so I’m laughing a little, because I didn’t even know I owned a Royal Albert Tea Cup!  I got this down from my cabinet this evening so I could post about one of my tea cups in my collection.

099Started taking photo’s of this pretty cup & turned it over & to my surprise I see it’s markings say “Royal Albert, Bone China Tea Rose” & then lot’s of numbers & markings on both the tea cup and saucer.

I know that these markings and numbers are important because of what you all share during Tuesday Tea cup parties & I’ve come to realize a Royal Albert is a special tea cup & the numbers are extra special & even more important are the stamps and hand written markings

For me this cup isn’t really about all the markings but a beautiful tea cup with vintage yellow floral print that came from my grandmothers collection! So sweet & her favorite flower was the yellow rose…which makes this pretty girl extra special to me!

Thanks for looking at another tea cup in my collection…& check out to see where I am linking up to this week!!!! xoox, tracie

Funny how you can have something and never really pay attention to it, then one day you take a closer look and see its more special than you originally thought :-)

I love yellow roses so it would figure I love this Royal Albert cup with yellow roses! Stunning! Happy Tea Day!
Your Royal Albert tea cup is very similar to my china. My china is "Old Country Rose" by Royal Albert. We didn't pick a china pattern out when we got married. My mother-in-law is from Canada and her relatives (sisters, cousins, aunts, etc) all went in together and bought us a tea set. Over the years I added to it to have a complete set for 18.

I'm also fortunate enough to have a small tea cup collection. Mostly cups from my grandmothers and my husband's grandmothers...
Thanks for sharing with us!

Hi Tracie, My tea post is up now. :o) Thanks so much for dropping by. Lovely photos! I've just been running with all the last minute graduating child activities so tea was delayed today.

I should be posting normally for now that that is done. :o)

Lovely yellow rose on the cup of your Royal Albert cup and saucer. I think of the yellow rose of Texas in the song. How nice of you to share your collection.
