McCall…
Earlier this week I posted about taking “a hiatus over the past week due to a death in our family. Still cannot talk about it…but will in time!”. I have received some very sweet notes even though you didn’t know what happened or whom I lost – I want you to know I really appreciate it!
Two weeks ago today – our sweet lab, McCall was put to rest. I had left for “Farm Chicks” before she started to show signs of suffering. However, my family at home was left to deal with saying Goodbye with out me. Because I didn’t get to say goodbye to her – I have worked tirelessly on a video to share with my children & all who cared about her. Although it wasn’t completely unexpected that someday she would leave us (she lived a healthy 13 and a half years – but I honestly didn’t realize how much I’d miss her…until I got home and our daily routine had been turned upside down.
She was truly a puppy from the day we brought her home until the day I left for my weekend in Spokane. We put her through several obedience classes – yet she wouldn’t sit still. I was saddened when I was going through all my photo’s I didn’t have more of her with the family. But the video did turn out great & will be a sweet keepsake for all of us. Guess it’s my way of saying goodbye…click on McCall’s photo to see the video.

I had a hard time watching the video because it is so difficult to lose a pet. Then I saw my little dog playing with McCall, I've had three Westies. We have Reggie now and got him several months before Duffy passed.
Take care, it will get better, but you will never forget him and all the joy he brought to your family.

A big hug for you at this time of mourning for McCall. I watched some of the video and your dog was certainly a loved member of the family.

Oh I am so sorry! I lost two last year, and I know it just breaks your heart!!
Your video was a beautiful tribute, what a great collection to see him grow along with the kids:-))
I enjoyed all the "naughty" things in the end, all the things that are hard in the moment are the things that you look back on and smile, remembering the true spirit:-) Like the tolite paper rolls... so frustrating when it happens and they always do this, but later so so endearing:-))
Sending you a big hug:-)
