Missing my gardens…

I am missing my gardens like crazy right now…When I look out my window, I can still see some life out there! But for the most part the leaves are changing color and my garden is fading away to hibernate for winter.  Our temperatures are sure dropping here in Washington and baby is it cold outside…The high today was 48 degree. But, as long as I can stay warm ~ I can certainly enjoy the gorgeous season of Fall.  I am not sure if there are many of you that get to see first hand such a gift of beauty when the leaves turn color here in the Northwest!  So today I am sharing a few photo’s I took here at Fishtail Cottage’s garden. (click on the photo’s below to see larger images!)

And mixed in with the fall color, I am still getting some blooms that are so showy next to these beautiful leaves.

And the berries are bright and cheerful to attract the birdies!

I’m trying to get myself prepared to look out the window next month to just sticks and stones…as most of my garden is deciduous… (very sad face)! Hope to see you link up to Fishtail Cottage’s Outdoor Fall Décor Party…To see what I am linking to this week – please check my “Cottage Links” label…xoxo, tracie

I'm sad to see everything go as well - but it's a good excuse to get some things done inside.
Great pictures.

There are a host of amazing autumn colours in your pictures..just beautiful!
I'm with you! I know a lot of people love fall and the colors are outstanding, but it's so hard to know that gardening isn't going to happen for several months now...

I did enjoy your pictures and do love the colors in the NW in the fall.

Have a great day.
Pam
Beautiful pics!!
I still have a foxglove that is blloming as you will see in my post but it will not be for long as they are calling for snow tomorrow. Just enough to cover the grass but that will definitely be the end of the growing season!!

Have a great Halloween weekend!!

Hugs,
Debbie

It's the time of the year to get things accomplished inside the home, :)
Good photos. I am like you winter depresses me-I guess it does most gardeners. I have learned to plant evergreens in with everything, so I will have something besides brown to look at all winter.

I miss mine too. Where did the time go. I need to get outside and clean mine up for winter yet.

I do love the fall colors... but I am not looking forward to the "sticks and stones" either!

Such lovely fall colors you have there, Tracie! We are just now beginning to see the leaves preparing their seasonal display. ;)
