Belle Isis

Belle Isis is an extremely old gallica rose with a delicate small pink rose. Its very tidy but also has popped up in several places in the front yard garden where it was not planted. This rose must happily spread by root. I used to dig up and pull it out every spring and or fall but I have given up on doing so and just let it be. If I had known it would send off suckers, I would not have planted in the landscape but maybe kept in a planter.  It is a super pretty, one-time bloomer (June/July) which is not ideal, however its fragrance is enjoyed while its available in the landscape. This rose makes for a great cut flower, but it has awful thorns. It is said to grow 3 feet high and wide.  Garden Zone 4-9
