Matching Corbel’s…

I couldn’t be more excited to come across these matching salvaged corbels the other day while antiquing.  They were tucked back in a forgotten corner of the store waiting for me to find them.
091
I’ve been searching for a few years to find identical ones to use as book ends.
004
These pieces couldn’t be more perfect! They both stand about 12” high, 7” wide and 6” deep.  I am in love with the chippy paint unveiling the different once loved paint colors underneath one another…
005
Can you believe I picked this pair with so much character up for $50.
Before leaving I asked about the history of these corbels. The store owner said they came off of an old shed behind the antique stores in Snohomish before tearing it down…087

I have to say, I'm sick with envy! I have been looking FOREVER for the same matching pair. I can usually only find one or they are broken. You are a lucky gal...these are gorgeous with the chippy paint and the color is fabulous. :)

I think it must have been a pretty fancy shed to have corbels. I know that my shed is plain with no beautiful corbels. I love the color!

I love architectural details, Tracie, and everything about yours is spectacular - shape, color(s), chippiness! Fifty dollars was a great price.

Thanks for linking to my party.
