Some of the “Fun” we have found!

So the room is now painted and the furniture rearranged to make the princess happy!  We’ve enjoyed shopping for just the right décor for her room, (only a few knots have been tied up in my stomach). ha!  When it comes to a 13 year old girls opinion, I don’t dare shop alone and try to guess what she might like!  The reality of it is, even if she is with me, we have to bring many items home to see how it looks first and decide if it is going to stay or be returned!  (I’ve tried to avoid boutiques where I cannot return merchandise).
The bedding looks fantastic on the bed, along with these sweet throw pillows adorned with what looks like sea shells.

Window treatments are hung and I love way the tab top panels look in her room – it really adds a “beachy” feel to the room!

Sea Shells goodies are put throughout the room!

We found a darling table lamp to set on the nightstand – with lot’s of bling!

Wall décor hasn’t been as easy to agree on!  Definitely will be a progression over time!  We did come across this fabulous idea to make our own framed squares that serve the purpose of keeping organized!  A much needed systems in the upcoming year of 7th grade.  A corkboard, calendar with glass over top to re-create each month,  two glass covered scrapbook paper with metal underneath so that she can use for posting photo’s, notes, etc!

Being a creative mind herself – she came up with the ides of making her own magnets using colored paper punched out and glued into bottle caps with a magnet glued to the back of the bottle cap.  Also wanted to adorn the tops of pins for the corkboard with Sequins for some and then used paper flowers to glue to others….they turned out darling and I think she prides herself with her work!

My favorite addition has got to be this sign with words to remind her that feelings she will come come across over the next couple years are normal and to keep a positive focus of being strong and moving forward – living her life to the fullest no matter how awful “today” might feel!
