For the love of yellow
In the spring, I started taking photo’s of the garden flowers and stored these photo’s according to color. So this post is “For the love of yellow”. I am so amazed at the amount of garden plants that have yellow in them. I have been trying to add this happy color to my garden in hopes of accenting all the pinks and purples blooms I have planted. So please don’t think I have all these blooms going on right now here at Fishtail Cottage.
Take a peek at all the glorious ideas – you too can plant in your gardens!
Moonbeam Coreopsis and Creeping Charlie is sure gorgeous when in bloom, but have found it too invasive to keep in my garden…I am pulling this up as I weed.
Columbine is a favorite in the garden – so much whimsy blooms and they last forever…accenting so many blooms around them!
Hosta & Ferns also give a gorgeous yellow effect in the landscape (without even trying!
Many shrubs and plants in the garden give the yellow effect as well before they open into the colorful shades!
& who could forget this wonderful weed that blooms in yellow! ha
Both of these euphorbia plants have fabulous yellow accents to them!
Below is the Globeflower & for the life of me I cannot remember what this bloom is? Can anyone out there remind me?
Please don’t forget to check out what lupine does to the garden! Everything around the yellow blooms is just that much prettier because of them!
Bulbs planted to bloom through-out the season – allows you to pick and choose where your pop of yellow can go!
Coneflowers and similar blooms to a coneflower are always a great way to surround your home with yellow blooms!
This beautiful shrub is one of my favorites in the landscape her at Fishtail Cottage! Again, I cannot remember the name of it!
Roses come in all shades of color and many of mine pink – however, as they open their blooms – there are several shades of yellow that show before they turn pink!
My entrance to my front door is lined with heuchera, commonly known as coral bells. Doesn’t that yellow color in a few of them just make this garden all the more cheerful?
I hope to see you link up later this afternoon to Cottage Flora Thursday’s! To see what I am linking to this week – please check my “Cottage Links” label…xoxo, tracie
