Yes, I was a creepy stalker the entire time they were here at Fishtail Cottage! I was peeking through the windows from all angles of the house to be sure they were trimming, weeding and planting the correct way!
I was pleased with what I was seeing until I saw that red bark had been delivered and already being spread in the garden beds…yikes that red bark was supposed to be black mulch!
Panic mode went into effect & I went out to show my contract write up showing black mulch! Disaster averted…he said no problem, & began scooping the red bark pile back into the truck – and hauled it away & later returned with the black mulch! sigh…
A project that has been on my “wish list” is now completed! It is so exciting for me to share this with you! I have wanted to complete our side yard for almost five years & and it’s unbelievable that in one afternoon – it’s done! Happy me! It will be so useful next summer to have this area completed. We moved our fence from the middle of the ide yard up to our driveway. There is now a complete walkway the entire way! Arborvitaes (albeit small) are now planted along the fence line…and more English Dwarf Boxwood is planted along side the walkway! Most importantly – all that Creeping Charlie that I have been trying to get rid of myself…is gone!!!
Looks like fall is on it’s way from a few of the maple leaves color’s I am seeing in here in the garden.
In the end, I was am so pleased with the way it all turned out!
I sure hoped you linked up to Cottage Flora Thursday’s this week – as it is the last one of 2011.
Next week September 29th – I will begin a new weekly party so you can show off any Fall Décor you are sharing outdoors! Check out this awesome idea that Momma Hen sat out on her porch! So inspirational, isn’t it?
To see what I am linking to this week – please check my “Cottage Links” label…xoxo, tracie
