Christmas Houses…

Julie Marie over at Idyllhours introduced me to ‘Putz Houses’ last Christmas time.  Hers of course are authentically vintage handed down from earlier generations.  Julie Marie’s sentimental stories about her collection inspired me to find some of my own.  However,  after searching several local antique stores and not being able to find any vintage ones, I ended up with some “new” models that are much larger than the original ones (but still beautiful).
Pictured below are the ones I purchased last year and still love, love, love! Wouldn’t it be fun to add another every year to create a village.  There are so many that I have seen in stores this year ~ but I steered clear of buying any more! I was afraid that I might develop a new collection that was not needed.

I know that I shared this little collection in an earlier post.  Next year I plan to decorate it with snow and more bottle brush trees…so sweet isn’t it?

I love love LOVE glitter houses! I made one this year with a Paper mache house I found at the craft store. I would love to build a village with them too!

Now I know what to ask my husband for next Christmas. Build me a miniature playhouse to bring out for the holidays and pass on!
The silver-y one is my fav!

Enjoy the holidays!
