The makings of Easter Gifts…
With the Easter Holiday just a few weeks away, I have finally saved enough of my chicken eggs to start eggs to creating some festive gifts.

Last year, I found some very sweet ceramic egg holders at our local Fred Meyers and set my cracked egg shells in each of the holes. The eggs were filled up this morning with some potting soil and then filled with johnny jump up seeds.

I started these charming individual gifts a few weeks ago, and already little sprouts of greens are coming up.

I love little projects like this, as they take time to nurture which makes the recipient all the more appreciative! After Easter is over ~ they just pop the egg into their garden bed and enjoy the blooms throughout the summertime (the soil loves egg shells)!

I love these and haven't done them in years and years. They make PERFECT seed starters don't they? I also sometimes just use the paper egg cartons (not the styrofoam ones) as seed starters too. They work great and you can pull them apart and just plop them in the ground. xo Diana
