Sweet Additions in my Cottage Den…

You may remember my post about the beautiful Hy Whitroy that hung in my daughters room?  Well, after we began to alter her room to a more “beachy” theme, it needed to find a new spot here at Fishtail Cottage.   I was happy to hang it in the corner of one of the walls in my den.

096This is a much loved treasure to me, and I am so happy that it found a place here in my den where I can look at it daily and remember my Grandmother.092
004And another very exiting piece was given to me recently ~ from my other Grandparents home.  It’s a bitter sweet addition to my home that hangs on the other side of the window of my Cottage Den.   But so happy that when I look up from my computer these two sentimental pieces are what I see. 015

Beautiful paintings and they look wonderful in your den! I'd love to see the beach theme in your daughter's room. I have been trying to add a feel for that at the lakehouse.

Happy Sunday1

Those are beautiful reminders of those people that are important in your life. I hope you can remember where they hung in their original places and be transported back to that sweet time. I love that you are able to have them and enjoy them- xo Diana
Both paintings are gorgeous and how wonderful to have such beautiful keepsakes. Hugs, Marty

I am new to your blog and have enjoyed all that I have seen. So many great ideas.
Both of the pictures in your den are stunning. The detail they have can even be seen in the pictures that you posted. Fantastic edition to your "Cottage den".
These are beautiful! You reminded me of a large painting like this that hung over my grandmother's sofa all the years I was growing up and before she downsized to a smaller home. Don't know what kind it was but it had the same theme and dark, rich colors. Glad you have these treasures to enjoy!
