Amazing…

Its amazing to me that we await the arrival of blooms all winter long and I’m almost uncomfortable with the idea that so many have already come and gone.  I figured with al of this rain we are having I should just clip off the blooms before they are open (cutting before the blooms have opened prevents bringing little bugs indoors) and enjoy them inside.

Poppies, Roses and Peonies…Can it get it any prettier than this? Just a splash of color throughout the house really makes me smile when I walk into the rooms.

The soft pale colors of the blooms make everything just a little more cozy too, don’t you think?

I love your flowers Tracie~ those poppies are so pretty too! I have been looking everywhere for more peonies... to no avail. I am hoping they get them in again at the grocery stores soon. I can almost smell them from here Hope you are having a great week!

Yes it is amazing! I was thinking the same about how I wait for this and then it seems to come and get done too fast! Don't you just love the smell of peonies!
I could live with their smell a long long time!

It's great to be able to fill their home with their own flowers. Poppy is so beautiful but it is such a short time in the vase. Good thing their seed pods are beautiful when they are wilted. You have many beautiful pitcher. I wish you a nice weekend! Zinnia
Tracie, your house must smell so good from the peonies indoors.
The photo of the poppy makes me think of the other day when a huge yellow peony was in bloom on the kitchen table. I admired it in the morning, ran a few errands and came back to all of the petals on the tablecloth. Naturally I scooped them up to save for pot pourri.

Blooms inside are wonderful but I find myself anxious to move everything plant related outside come spring. All the house plants go out and many of the orchids with the exception of the phalaenopsis... several of which are blooming now. It seems like we spend so much of our summer life working in the gardens or in my case on my reproduction shades when not in the gardens that the ease of taking care of the plants outside is much appreciated... I love the simplicity of summer. Your bouquets are lovely but mine exist only attached to roots I'm afraid! Larry

I know what you mean...it seems I missed most of my spring blooms and now I have to wait until next year. Yours look pretty strewn throughout the house.
What lovely flower arrangements! My garden has parts that are looking pretty battered due to all the rain, with blossoms that just kind of dissolved on the plant. We need some mini-umbrellas for our favorites.

Gorgeous. I also like how your jugs are all the same color.
beautiful! I always enjoy my visits to your blog xo
I sure hear you about the rain- I've not been able to enjoy a lot of the flowers- many have been beaten to the ground after blooming before I even see them! Sigh.
Such pretty flower pictures ! :) I have to look around your site some more !
