Sharing a Three Footed Tea Cup

Isn't this one a beauty?  A Fishtail Cottage Facebook friend saw my Three Footed Tea Cup Collection and wanted me to have this. Said, she had it tucked away under a counter in her kitchen.  Expressed that she no longer wanted it and wanted to be sure it went to someone who would appreciate it.

102It arrived in the mailbox last week and I am in awe of how different it is than all of my other Three Footed Tea Cups in my collection.   It does have the opaque color throughout both the tea cup and the saucer.  The edging is gold on the tea cups handle, feet and opening of the tea cup and also along the saucer. The cut out along the edging is so unique ~ nothing like on any other saucer I own.

The pretty detail of the posy combination is that of a creamy white and lavender.

104The tea cup itself, is completely round, unlike any other one in my collection, but the feet are exactly the same as the others…

The underside still has a sticker that states “Hand decorated CDGC Quality Imports Japan” and both pieces are labeled Y104.  My understanding that if the markings are the same they are a ‘perfect set’!

Feeling so very extra special that my sweet friend chose me to hold the legacy of her Three Footed Tea Cup…I can honestly say that I am honored and will cherish this with all my heart…and will also save it to pass to one of my children who will (my hope) cherish this collection as well.

What a beautiful teacup and what a thoughtful blogging friend. I've not seen your three footed teacups, so I'm off to explore your site to locate them. ;-)
The three footed tea cup is beautiful! How thoughtful of your blogging friend to send it to you. I have only seen one or two on blogs.
How lovely for someone to think of you this way. The tea cup is just lovely. Enjoy xx
What a gorgeous tea cup and saucer and how sweet and generous it was for her to send it to you! I saw one recently and thought of you - glad to see that your collection is growing! Always enjoy seeing what's going on at the cottage! Hugs, Leena

This is truly a gift to treasure - I've never seen a three lfooted teacup before. Even if this cup wasn't special in that way, it's a beautiful set. One of the things I love about blogging is the friendships created and I think that's your biggest gift in this new friend.

It is such a beautiful teacup, and don't know if I've seen a 3 leg one. Now I will be on the lookout for one. I also love the pattern on the teacup. You must be so touched to know your friend honored you with the gift of this treasured. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!

I posted about a tea cup I found with a music box in the bottom of cup , never had seen one before

our cups would look so pretty together
Great Grandmother would be thrilled! So glad you are enjoying it.
