Coffee Bar…

Since the remodel in the Great Room ~ I’ve started to de-clutter wherever I can!  The coffee bar in our home is used more than once daily and always seems to be a place in my home that get’s somewhat messy. I’ve been looking on Pinterest and in stores for ideas to find something that make this space easier on the eye for me, yet functional.  I haven’t come across anything that fits what I wanted to do.  Laying awake at night (as I do every night thinking of how to organize)…I came up with the idea of using a tiered stand for mugs. I found this one from William Sonoma that fits under my cabinet space perfectly!

039I’ve shared this space with you before ~ here.  With these pictures what it looked like before.  I’ll admit, it looks nice and clean in the photo – but the mugs were clear on the other side of the kitchen next to the column that we just removed…it just didn’t seem practical there any longer.  imageI also decided to box up my Starbucks Mug Collection ~ you can read about it here.  And purchase matching ones from Pottery Barn that fit on the stand so nicely.  I was able to find my husbands and my first name initials, but decided to not buy the kids first name initials and stock up on a bunch that just have our last name initial “F”.  That way anyone can use them. Plus there won’t be any fighting over using certain cups.

IMG_0905At the top of the tier is where I can keep my shot glasses when making the espresso! Such a nice and handy space for them to sit.  I put the k-cups, syrups and chocolate powder in the cabinet below where the rest of the breakfast food is stored!

Such a simple idea can go so far, don’t you think? We are loving our new coffee bar, the simplicity of it is so nice.

I love this idea. I like to use different cups but don't always go in the cabinet to look for them! I love your coffee bar!

Tracie,
Your coffee bar looks great...I sure hope you are enjoying your New year!

Smiles,
Sheila
What a nice idea, the tiered stand and I love your coffee mugs. I don't really have a coffee bar, Just the coffee maker next to the sink (practical) and under the cabinet with the mugs. There is not even room for the Keurig we have that we now never use since there is no room for it. I envy you!! Keep the organizing ideas coming!

XO,
Jane

I like what you've done - really love those mugs!
I love the coffee bar! Pour me a cup, would you please? It's functional and attractive! I don't know what it is about this time of year but I too feel the need to organize and purge! This isn't uncommon since I'm anti-clutter, but it's even stronger an urge at this time. Enjoy your new coffee bar! Hugs, Leena
What a great space for a coffee bar! I love your organization and the way the whole thing looks. Coffee definitely needs a dedication space. :)
Great coffee area, so nice to be able to have a spot to house everything you need!

Great spot. I made a coffee bar a while ago and posted about it, I love having the access right at my figure tips.

Man I wish I had an area to do something like this in. BUT you've made me think now that maybe it could be in the DINING room instead of my tiny kitchen. I love the way you have it all arranged!
