TJ Maxx Bottle, Tropical Marine Plant and a Fish

I just can’t seem to get enough Fishtail Cottage pets!  I love having life all around me to nurture and care for.  When I saw this darling blue bottle at TJ Maxx, I thought ~ sure why not, fill it with water, add a simple green plant and have a fish…no name for the fish yet, if you have a name suggestion ~ please do share an idea!  I just love this addition to my vignette in our Great Room!

Is that fish a beta? They love to be alone as they are also called Siamese Fighting fish, but you probably knew that already! Nice idea!

Makes me think of my favorite blue mason jars...so Mason sounds like a good name to me!

I don't know why but the name "Muggins" came to mind! As in mugging for a photo op. He's just so cute and I can see him swimming close to the bottle when he knows you're around. And don't you love getting inspiration from just a simple shape? Love the detailing of the twine wrapped around the neck!

We used to have one of these...actually, it was my daughters.
He is swimming with the fishes now.
