Most Mornings…

Most mornings you will find me here seated on the patio enjoying my home made mocha!  Watching the newly hatched birds visiting the bird feeders.  The wonders of the garden are what I enjoy seeing this time of year!  We have had wild bunny sightings for the first time ever here at Fishtail Cottage ~ I know they will be unwelcome eventually, but for now their little brown ears and tails are fun to see.

Many new blooms have appeared over the past week. Both Bachelor Buttons and Allium has opened up, along with one of my all time favorite English Blue Bells scattered through out the garden.

Planted in the masses along the walkway – the English Bluebell is absolutely stunning! IMG_2324

An amazingly fragrant shrub has shown its beauty this past week is the Northern Hi-Lights Azalea.  On a sunny day – no matter where you are in the garden, the fragrance can be inhaled by the most subtle breeze.  If you don’t have one of these in your garden, it’s worth the time finding one!

Eight inch dinner plate sized peonies are now in bloom compliments of my Peony Trees!

Sweet Woodruff (an absolute favorite because its’ a non invasive ground cover) has begun it’s own show.

Lilacs also have appeared in the garden landscape – no complaints here to take in the gorgeous fragrance found from these beauties! First one is ‘unnamed’, Beauty of Moscow and Lilac Sensation.

Rhododendron’s are in bloom Jean Marie and Cunningham White…

Strawberry plants beginning to bloom amongst the hosta’s, along with Snowball Shrubs, Red Twig Dogwood and Chartreuse Mexican Orange Blossom (fragrant).

As of today, here are a few landscape photo’s so that you can see these some of these gorgeous blooms together in harmony. You can see that I scatter my plants throughout the garden beds, no formal plan ~ just blooms, blooms and more blooms!

Everything is looking wonderful in your garden! My peonies are almost ready to bloom, and a few of my roses are getting started, too. This abnormally warm Spring in the PNW is really getting things going, isn't it? I like your variety of lilacs...they are so wonderful to bring inside, aren't they? I wish they lasted longer! Heather

So pretty! And it's fun to see a lot of the same plants I have in my yard in another setting. Love, this time of year...I, too, drink my coffee in the yard every morning. Perfection.
It all looks stunning ~ so pretty! I love the Bluebells.

Your beds are just gorgeous! I love the full look, and you obviously have a gift - it takes a lot of work to get that casual, English cottage look!
Everything looks beautiful Tracie, I enjoyed the tour of your gardens.
I thought I might get flowers on my Beauty of Moscow lilac this year, but it looks like only leaves again for this new shrub. At least I could drool over yours.
Your walkway is a favourite place of mine as it transforms over the seasons.
Thanks for hosting.
Judith
Oh everything looks so beautiful! You are a bit ahead of me for sure! I just found 7 of my tulips eaten by a cute little bunny!!! Not happy but what can you do! I adore peonies- I wish they'd last twice as long as they do! I love sweet woodruff too- it works well in my shaded garden area and it has a really unique smell!

Thanks so much for inviting me over for the linkup party! I have to say that garden of yours is simply breath taking! I am going to look for one of those azaleas for my garden. I already have one that came with the house but alas I don't know it's name. It is a stunning burnt orange and smells fantastic.

Oh My Goodness! You garden is breathtaking. I especially love the lilacs and the peonies. I can grow neither. I am always enchanted by them. Your blue bells are so pretty. Thanks for hosting, Ginger
It's back! Your garden is looking absolutely gorgeous! I love this time of year as I get to see all of your beautiful garden beds and all they offer. So gorgeous! I know you are enjoying watching everything come back to life! We have bunnies here all the time. They don't seem to harm too much and are so cute! Wait until you spot some of the tiny babies - adorable! Hugs, Leena
Oh those lilacs are gorgeous! I've always loved them, but I think it's too hot to grow them here (Texas) Your garden is beautiful! How nice it must be to sit on your porch drinking coffee and enjoying the view. :)
