Rusty cans…

IMG_2989I’ve been intentionally leaving these food candles outdoors to embrace the weather elements for most of the winter! I love love love summertime flowers placed sporadically through out the house!  Figured I could adorn these tin cans and use them for myself or gift them to neighbors.
IMG_2941I printed some of the Floral Ephemera from my Pinterest board.  I’ve been pinning beautiful photo’s to eventually use for something – might as well be this!
Using modge podge to adhere the prints to the cans worked beautifully.  After the prints were dry,  I did a little sanding and distressing by using water based dark stain over the top of the prints. Then another layer of modge podge to set everything in place!

The only thing that was left to do, was to fill them with flowers!

Simple and super cute!
