this week in the garden 7/22/13…

I’ve missed linking up to my own party over the past couple weeks ~ I’ll let you know why I’ve been so busy pretty soon! It isn’t for a lack of tending my garden and keeping up with all of my outdoor chores though – I’ve found time to definitely keep up with what needs to be done in the landscape!

This is where I spend my mornings with my coffee.

So much activity between the chickens, dogs and birds, bees and butterflies that visit the garden ~ there is always something to be watching.

As the weather has turned warmer the hydrangeas are not as happy as when they first began blooming.  Here are some pretty photo’s to share with you!

Sharing with you some recent photo’s I’ve taken of the roses in bloom.

Take a peek at the Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas in front of the house…a little pink has started!

Hollyhocks have come into bloom, I don’t have nearly as many as I’ve shared in the past.  Just these two.

Black Eyed Susan and Shasta Daisy’s have appeared ~

You have such a lovely garden- all that colour, so pretty and so romantic.

I can imagine it is quite difficult to walk away from when you are out enjoying it.

Gorgeous.
Beautiful, Tracie! I really love your patio garden...I would sit all day there watching the butterflies!

Just wondering what day your garden party is on...

Jane

No pink yet on my vanilla strawberry hydrangeas but we're usually a little behind the cities to the south :)

Love your pictures. Trying to figure out the name of the pink roses. I don't think it's labeled and I apologize if it is. I think I just saw some strawberry vanilla hydrangeas at my local nursery and now that I've seen your pictures I'm going back and getting at least one bush. Spectacular. I already have 3 hydrangea bushes and a small lot but I can't help myself. Love them.
