2014 Garden is waking up!
I just realized that the weekly garden party over here on my blog begins in less than a month (May 1). I’m sure most of you are just as excited to share your gardens with one another as well??? I spent much of my weekend in the garden and wanted to share with you some new photo’s so come with me on a walk through my garden to see what is waking up right now.
Lets first talk about this area next to my patio ~ You can see the sweet woodruff is happy and spilling over the rockery onto the flagstone pathway. The hummingbirds are enjoying the White Flowering Current that I planted near the patio…I love seeing them visit the gardens. I have planted several Camellia's throughout the landscape which bloom at different times during the year, but these red ones are a gorgeous contrast with the Hino Crimson Azalea that you can see under the Coral Bark Maple.
I planted a whole row of these “Big Red” Camellia’s. They look gorgeous when in bloom!
Two other camellias that are blooming right now is this one called “Mathotiana camilia “rubra”
This Camellia is called – “Lavinia Maggi”. I love this one because it’s so unique in my landscape!
Some other favorite flowers that are showing blooms are tulips, hellebore (with Heather), euphorbia and lungwort.
What do you have blooming in your gardens? Look forward to hearing from you! And mark your calendars for the Cottage Garden Party on May 1st! I moved all my links to my side bar if you want to find me in other social media sites! xoxo, tracie

The only thing blooming right now in my garden are a few snowdrops - a welcome sight after a very long winter!!
I have that lungwort in your photos. We've always called it Speckled Spring. Mine doesn't do a DANG thing. I'm gonna try moving it this week and we'll see how it fares next year.
