Fishtail Cottage’s Garden 7/14/14…

The Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas are filling up the entrance to our home with their vibrant white blooms this week.  In just a few short weeks this heat we are experiencing will turn these pretty white blooms to the glorious pink blooms I look forward to seeing! Both are a beautiful vision to see in person ~ the photographs I share just don’t do these plants justice!

The blooms of the Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas are not the only ones stealing the show ~ so many gorgeous hydrangeas are lighting up the landscape! So many colors are offered

The good news is that this heat has pretty much wiped away any trace of blackspot or mildew on the roses!

Along with this heat we are experiencing here in Seattle ~ some gorgeous and colorful blooms have appeared in my landscape. Like those pretty berry buds of St. John’s Wort, flowering perennials like Phlox, Echinacea, Holly Hock and Prairie Mallow!

Hope to see you share your garden posts to this weeks Garden Party over here at Fishtail Cottage!  xoxo, tracie

Your flowers are so pretty. Sad to say my garden has taken a backseat to other things this year.

I planted some of the Vanilla Strawberry this year, was wondering when they turn pink--you answered my question! You have such a beautiful garden, always love visiting your blog. This heat has really done a number on mine --96f the last 2 days. Looking forward to the cool down so I can get out and try to do some salvage!
Gorgeous Tracie! My one Str. Vanilla Hydrangea is getting buds, but not blooming yet. Can't wait. I do have a pretty Annabelle in bloom. Your roses are gorgeous and mine are suffering. Put in some new soil and they all started losing their leaves. Too hot for them I guess. Should have waited till it cooled down. New leaves are starting to form, but very sad looking.
hugs,
Jann
You have a beautiful garden--especially love ALL of the hydrangeas! Blessings, Cecilia
Boy those are beautiful hydrangeas. I love the idea that they change color like that. All your flowers are looking fabulous!

Your garden is so beautiful. Man, what I wouldn't give to have the space for that many hydrangeas. I just LOVE them.
beautiful beautiful flowers. I wish I had the right kind of soil, mine are always sparse. So many I would love to grow that you have there.
