Dressing up the Great Room…
Since our remodel two years ago, I’ve left the furniture how we originally placed it. lately, I’ve felt a little itchy for some change in this room and decided to make a few subtle changes. I first rearranged the furniture which has left the room to feel a little more open.
I fell in love with these drapes at Pottery Barn and couldn’t stop thinking about how fun they would be for fall, so I ordered them and think they look perfect. They still have that same blue that I had previously within the color scheme which doesn’t feel so dramatic, but the extra colors of yellows, reds and oranges seem to match nicely with the other pieces in the Great Room and give this space new life.
Of course adding some dahlias from the corner flower market certainly gives that extra special touch don’t you think?
While browsing for new drapes at Pottery Barn, I saw these toss pillows that matched a flea market find that I have in the Great Room ~ See “Big Ben” in the sketch of this framed artwork? The color in the pillows matched the drapes that I brought home, so the pillows of course found their way to the check out counter!
Once I hung the drapes and moved the furniture around ~ it was easy to add touches of fall to the room!
One of my favorite areas to change out is my faux fireplace mantle.
Just a couple more shots!
Thanks for coming by today ~ hope you are enjoying your week! xoxo, tracie
