Fishtail Cottage Garden 6/29/15
Another beautiful week here in Seattle. I've taken two trips to the Snohomish Antique Rose Farm and have added six new roses to the garden... you are probably wondering where on earth I've found a spot for them? Believe me I am right there with you (and so is my family)! Happy to share that I've managed to plant all six from my first trip, but the one I just bought called, "Mercury Rising Tea Rose", I honestly might just keep it on the patio for awhile. I am really enjoying the colors of it and seeing the light glow through it, makes me think I need to plant it close to where I sit and have my morning coffee!
Along with this heat we are enjoying here in Seattle, comes beautiful roses that are just thriving so once again I can't help but share many rose photos with you!
Roses don't always have to be planted front and center ~ I actually love them blending in with the green landscape and bring color and romance to the gardens...
Some other blooms that have appeared this week are a few of my cottage garden favorites ... Bee Balm, Hollyhock, Shasta Daisy, Penstemon, Salvia and Snapdragons.
And excited to share that the Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas are beginning to return. They are starting their cycle of white blooms ~ between the hydrangeas is the gorgeous "Pink Supreme" carpet rose.
Thanks for coming and taking a peek at this weeks garden! I have become a HUGE fan of IG lately and love posting and getting lost by browsing! Hope you come follow me there if you are on it. Here is the link! xoox, tracie

My Penstemon aren't doing a dang thing this year. Nada. You'd think they'd be loving this heat. I must not be holding my mouth right.
