This week in the garden 8/26/13

So we’ve had our first couple days of grey days and a few rain drops this week.  The garden has not experienced this type of amazing summer for as long as I can remember.  Here is Washington State, our weather has been unbelievable!  Temperatures in the high 70’s to low 80’s pretty much daily. No complaints from me ~ it’s truly been lovely and perfect for the kids! But I will say, it is feeling a little like fall right now. A lot of spiders (& webs) have appeared over the past couple weeks, colors are beginning to turn to warm our senses to the idea of colder temperatures and back to school schedules.

love the formal garden with all the beautiful flowers and colors...gorgeous
Hi! Gorgeous gardens! Visiting from The Scoop and following via Pinterest!
LOVE that first shot!! Your gardens look beautiful!
Tracie,
Gorgeous! Your gardens are just beautiful and love the pathway leading to the front door. I'm always glad to get the weather report there in Seattle..... since my daughter lives there. She planted veggie gardens this year and reports great success.
I am sooooooo jealous! It's been over 100 degrees here and hasn't rained in a couple of weeks. Watering has helped some but not near enough.

Still lots of colour in your gardens Tracie. I was just thinking the same thing about autumn approaching as I looked in the backyard this morning. The oakleaf mountain ash is loaded with berries, wonder if that means a hard winter ahead? Folklore telltale signs are usually right.

I feel the same way about the gardens and the weather here. I've noticed the spiders making lots of webs too and our temps have been cool in the evenings. Your gardens still look good.
Tracie your gardens are looking Fabulous! Mine is starting to show signs of fall as were up north here, but Im excited about my Mums and pumpkins!
What a beautiful garden! We just bought a house and I need you to consult with me on my garden. I would love for my garden to look like yours. Thanks for sharing at Inspire Us Thursday on Organized 31.

I love the cooler weather Fall brings, but I too will miss my garden. Every day I have new webs. Just keep spraying them down. Those busy spiders, don't they ever rest? lol! Your garden is always such a joy to see Tracie! Oh, and guess what has buds on it now? My Strawberry Hydrangea. Better late than never. It will probably bloom briefly and then freeze. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
