Vineyard Song Rose

Vineyard Song Rose which was bred by Ralph S. Moore and introduced to the United States in 1999 boasts large clusters of double violet blooms that appear on new wood, so I definably prune this shrub more often.  I have this shrub planted in what I call the “Patio Garden” behind the fireplace of our covered patio. It is situated under a gorgeous Rose of Sharon which means it does get more shade in the later summer than in the earlier spring/summer timeframe. This rose is probably one of the most fragrant roses in my landscape – l love that its planted close to our outdoor seating area so that we can enjoy each bloom. This beauty makes an excellent cut flower for any floral arrangement. The color is gorgeous in my landscape. Its size is approximately 3 feet tall and wide. Garden Zone 5-10
