Columbine…
So much love for the columbine flower! This flower has such an intriguing shape to the flower. Columbine is a great filler plant for any cottage garden! It gives color wherever you are lacking some and doesn’t take a lot of space to do so. Seems to thrive in dry soil (at least in my garden) and self seeds freely to pop up wherever nature see’s fit. I have found so many varieties to add to Fishtail Cottage’s garden. From pinks, yellows, purples and whites. Some double cupped or single. Others are multi – colored.
From pinks, yellows, purples and whites. So me double cupped or single. Others are multi – colored.
Hummingbirds are very attracted to the Columbine flower, as are butterflies and all sorts of bees. Having the mixture of life visit the garden seems to bring a life of it’s own to admire.
Want to share with you the side walkway of Fishtail Cottage (notice the new bunny from 2nd Saturdayz?)

It looks like a walkway right out of a cottage magazine. You really nailed it. Love that bunny peeking out as well. Your stones are so lovely as well. A perfect entrance and exit.
Your columbines are absolutely exquisite. How lovely to have attracted the butterflies and hummingbirds with such beauty around them. The colors are just gorgeous. I wonder if columbines would grow here in the desert? We are so hot and dry here.
Thank you for the gorgeous share this morning. I so enjoyed my stroll through Fishtail Cottage. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

I had many columbines even the wild one at my last home. Now, I have none, what have I been thinking. You have inspired me to seek out some for my current garden.
