Cage a Crow…
Earlier this spring I picked up a bunch of this fence wiring thinking that over time, I could make different items with them…So far, it has just been bird cages! Remember this craft I did – Bird on a Perch? I thought it would be fun to take more of the fence and Cage a Crow! I first took the wire and bent it to the right shape! Wrapping the pointy ends toward the middle and shaping the wire to close at the top! I then spray painted the entire “cage” black.
While waiting for it to dry I went out into the back yard and found a fabulous branch from my Snowball tree out front. Snipped off what I needed of the the branch.
I used some black ribbon that I already had and tied it onto the branch to form a “perch”. I found the crows for next to nothing at Ben Franklin…they already had wires on them so they were easy to attach to the perch. Added a glitter spider for fun…
Made some festive tags to attach…(click on the photo to see a larger view)…
I made three Cages & think they turned out pretty cute! black & white cage sits on my new buffet in the master…
…the “Spooky Crow in a Cage” sits in the great room;
& the “Happy Halloween” will make a fabulous handmade gift for someone extra special!!!
