Cage a Crow…

Earlier this spring I picked up a 016bunch of this fence wiring thinking that over time, I could make different items with them…So far, it has just been bird cages! Remember this craft I did – Bird on a Perch?  I thought it would be fun to take more of the fence and Cage a Crow!  I first took the wire and bent it to the right shape! Wrapping the pointy ends toward the middle and shaping the wire to close at the top! I then spray painted the entire “cage” black.

While waiting for it to dry I went out into the back yard and found a fabulous branch from my Snowball tree out front.  Snipped off what I needed of the the branch.

I used some black ribbon that I already had and tied it onto the branch to form a “perch”.  I found the crows for next to nothing at Ben Franklin…they already had wires on them so they were easy to attach to the perch.  Added a glitter spider for fun…

Tracie this is genius! This would be so cute in so many places around the house or even out hanging in the trees. I love how you found use for the edging fence.
How adorable! I really love this idea. I love the sign, it's super cute!

Very cool and creative. Love it!
Very creative and spooky. I think crows are not my favourite feathered creature, as they dig up my garden looking for worms and make a terrible mess. Good choice for Halloween though. x
Very creative--my husband will want me to copy this for his display:)
