Inside Halloween Décor at Fishtail Cottage…

Welcome into my festive world of Halloween Décor – I am amazed there is just a little  more than a week until the Thanksgiving décor comes out of hiding!  So for now, here is a peek at what is going on indoors.  (Click here If you missed my porch post).

090First I will start with the kitchen ~ where we gather! I love this room because I can always make it fun and festive for the kids!

091096081Next is the Great Room…This room is linked right into the kitchen ~ so I like to see the rooms link up with the same décor idea. Check out the wreath made by Melaine over at My Sweet Savannah. Gorgeous, right? it adds the perfect fun to the new gate in front of the Fireplace….now if I could just find rusted urns for both sides!

In the entry way – I (for the first time ever) have a small spooky area! I don’t do spooky ~ but thought my kids would get a kick out of it! as they get older – it may be more fun to do spookier & spookier "vignettes” like this?

In the den we have a spooky tree that lights up the front window at night time!

There are lot’s of little knick knacky things that are part of the Halloween décor ~ not everything is going to posted here! Just some highlights!

Since I am working on my Master suite I thought it would be fun to bring in some elegant pieces that the room some festive fun – yet kept it light and airy too…

You've got some great decorations! I love those pumpkins on a stick ~ anything that can be tucked into small spaces works for me. Great wreath and I also love your kitchen chair slips!

Your kids are so lucky to have you as their mom. You put the WOW in Halloween!

I've subscribed to your blog and am enjoying finding Fishtail Cottage in my inbox.

Today I noticed your vintage tin bread box on the top of your hutch. Could you tell me where I could find one to buy? I've been looking everywhere for one in green.

Hugs, Maryjane

Tracie - It looks very festive at your house. I see you have lots of wood tones in your kitchen too-like I do. It makes for a warm, cozy look for Fall/Winter, doesn't it? xo Diana

What fun! I think you decorate a lot more for the season on your side of the line than we do. For the past few years we've enjoyed fall and winter trips down to Everett where we've spent some time driving up and down residential streets in the older part of town to see what people have done with their porches for Hallowe'en and Christmas. Lots of inspiration.
