Guest Suite Update!

So here is where I  have retouched up the walls where I had wall hanging pieces before and decided to just paint one wall in the guest suite a dark grey color “Slate” from Restoration Hardware.  The carpet has been removed and new pine floors have been installed.  This week the floors will be stained to match the other hardwoods throughout the house.

I’ve shared with you a few projects so far that I have been working on for this room.  It truly is turning out more beautiful than I’d even hoped.  If you missed one of these posts and want to see ~ click on the photo to be taken to the post.

So a few changes have been decided along the way since my original vision…”Juices are Flowing” post.

I decided not to steer more towards the ‘blue’s’ rather than the yellow due to the bed frame that I purchased ~

I found this darling newly released Simply Shabby Linen Garden Duvet bedding from Target. I far prefer this one over the Urban Outfitters one that I originally selected. I will plan to pair it with white sheets and bed skirt ~ hopefully with ruffles (when I find the right ones).

I am on the look out for other white’s and creamy white colored accents to add to the ‘details’ of the room.

I will update you when the floors are finished with a new photo!
