Seeing some life…
Still waiting for much of my garden to come alive – but we are seeing some life this week! Most of what I am seeing is the beginning of green buds on both trees, shrubs and roses. What seems like weeks of just green on bulbs coming out of the ground to finally begin showing ‘some’ color this week (FINALLY)! I couldn’t be more excited to share what is showing it’s lovely self this week!
‘Anne Marie’ Hyacinth/’Grape’ hyacinth/new variety of hyacinth (just picked up)
Candytuft “purity” – this is so pretty when planted in masses – I planted these just below my rose garden.
Delphinium Pacific Giant Black Knight (look at all the growth around this plant – peeking up out of the ground)! you can spy tulips, roses, poppies, bleeding hearts, groundcovers and johnny jump ups!
Remember these fantastic clearance finds from last week? they are now planted sporadically through the garden beds!
“Rasberry Splash” (my favorite) and “Mrs. Moon” Pulmonaria Lungwort
Bleeding heart – just starting to show some blooms – in another week these will be be so prolific in the garden (because they are everywhere!)
White / Pink Flowering Current (attracts the hummingbirds!)
~ First tulip of the seas on showing color ~
Hino Crimson Azalea / Poppy Anemones ‘red’
While I was out snapping pictures this am– i snatched this mornings eggs!
Sneak peek for what should be blooming next week! Lilac – Sensation ‘Syringa Vulgaris Sensation’ – can almost smell it now!

Just seeing all the colour in your garden is putting me into spring fever mode. We're still at the green stage with the bulbs and the rest has not awakened yet.
Thanks for sharing your pretties.

Actually I love everything.. it's Springtime in your beautiful gardens.

And the sweet eggs! We are working on getting the coop spruced up and repaired so foxes can't get my babies any more. Until we do that, and build a new yard in the pasture, we can't get more hens. Tex, our horse, broke down the fence to the chicken yard. Sigh.. It's always something out here.
Your photo of the eggs is priceless!
Love it!

I just love your blog and your garden in beautiful. I'm envious. I work hard at my gardens each summer, but our growing season is so short and I fight the deer, rabbits and squirrels the whole time. But I don't quit or give up. I'm becoming much better at finding plants that deer won't eat for lunch or midnight snacks. There have been mornings where I would wake up to everything that had bloomed being completely bare and gone!
Anyway, your cottage and garden are beautiful.
And chicken eggs too!!!
Love it all!
