Snow day!!!

Today we are enjoying the beauty around us ~ no school, no driving, no worries!  My kids love to play outside in this weather & come in to leave wet clothes all over the floor of the laundry room…drink half of the hot chocolate in their cup and then head back outside to do it all over again.  Me…? I’m inside peeking through the window watching them have a good time! brrrr…..don’t know how they do it.

I will admit it’s all just so lovely out there, so I bundled up to snap a few photo’s for you to enjoy too!

My heart smiled when I saw a little life left out there in the garden!  I had to remind the gardener in me how fabulous this weather is for the upcoming spring/summer blooms for my tulips and peonies!

The prettiest are the birdhouses scattered around the back yard gardens of Fishtail Cottage…

Although this little guy is the little birdie I’ve seen the most of!  So glad he has found food this time of year!

Millie and Sophie are loving the snow too – I haven’t shared a photo of them in a while, look how big they’ve grown! & of course, we can’t forget to share Charlie!

I think my chickens are a little chilled ~ they’ve stopped laying eggs for me! but the coop is sure pretty!

What beautiful photos! I could hardly believe my eyes when I woke up this morning. I'm not a "snow person", but I must admit that it is gorgeous! Just glad that I don't have to get out and drive in the stuff! And the hummers have been at our feeder, too. I wonder how the poor little guys keep warm?
Beautiful photographs Tracie! Sweet little hummingbird and pups too!

Isn't a snowfall pretty? I expect they are rare where you live. Your gardens look beautiful in their winter coat. I can't believe you have flowers in bud with snow on them and a hummingbird at the feeder!! Enjoy.
oh it's just beautiful Tracie, love all your wonderful bird "barns"!!! stay warm! xoxo

Beautiful pictures! Your gardens are as pretty in the winter as they are in the summer. GORGEOUS! xo Diana ps...snowing here tonight, too.
I hate winter, but this snow is so beautiful. I should be thankful since it helps the plants prepare for their arrival in the spring and gives me a chance to rest up for yard work, plus I get to do tons of project. Okay, maybe I don't hate winter...just the COLD.
Your winter garden is so serene ... no wonder the fur babies and kiddies are having fun!
The snow looks so pretty! How fun to have a snow day. My kids do the same thing with the hot chocolate and the in and out. I love all of your birdhouses, and I can't believe you have a hummingbird with the snow! Do they stay there year round? Thank goodness you feed him, the flowers look like they won't be offering much now. They, too, looked pretty with the snow on them.
Happy snow day!
